Married with two grown up children I live on the outskirts of Mansfield Woodhouse. I have been a Registered Childminder and member of NCMA since 1990. I am a founder member of Mansfield Woodhouse Childminders’ Group and currently serve the group as Treasurer.

During the time I have been childminding I have taken full advantage of the training opportunities made available to us and have a NVQ level III in Childcare and Education and NCMA’s Quality First Level III.

Two years ago I was involved (along with others) in the resurrection of the Nottingham and County Childminding Association of which I am currently Treasurer.

Shortly after this time I attended an Annual Regional Meeting of the NCMA’s East Midlands Regional Committee and was elected as a committee member. I have recently been appointed as Acting Chair of the committee.

A few years ago I became a mentor for the Quality First award and when this role came to an end applied and was accepted as a Support Childminder. A role which I enjoy immensely.

During my ‘spare’ time I like to socialise with friends and family and also practice T’ai Chi.
